The Gender Wellbeing Gap 2025: A Special GLWS Insight Report

by | Nov 10, 2025 | #GenderWellbeingGap

This special report investigates a central question: Is the wellbeing of those in senior roles disproportionately worse for women than for men?

In the early years of GLWS, based on a sample of approximately 1000 leaders, we established evidence for a small ‘Gender Wellbeing Gap’.

In the post-pandemic context, driven by both curiosity and concern, we decided to re-examine the issue. While we anticipated a worsening of gender differences in several areas, the extent of the gap that emerged since our initial baseline assessment of 2016 was deeply confronting and prompted our inaugural Gender Wellbeing Gap publication.

Presenting the 2025 findings.

Now, in this GLWS 2025 Gender Wellbeing Gap Report, we present the findings from our most comprehensive and detailed exploration ever. Differences in the wellbeing needs, experiences and circumstances of leaders and professionals, both women and men, reveal further evidence of worrying trends.

We invite you to download, read and share The Gender Wellbeing Gap 2025 report. We hope you find it thought-provoking, valuable and worthy of further discussion – and action.
